A low vision formatted version is included with 24 point black sans serif text and fully written instructions.
This is a knitting pattern, originally published in Interweave Knits Summer 2019 and is the companion adult version of my Baby Sand Dollar infant/toddler sweater.
My inspiration for this pattern was a longing for warmer, easier days. I was inspired by the shapes and colours of coral, shells, and especially sand dollars, which worked their way into the lace motif. This pattern is for a ladies sweater in five sizes with plenty of positive ease for a relaxed fit. The cotton-wool blend and airy mesh pattern throughout give a lightness to this pullover that lends itself to breezy spring days and cool summer evenings. The mesh pattern is quick to learn; the lace is a little spicier, requiring a bit of attention - but only for a few inches. The seamless raglan construction makes for minimal finishing. A little blocking will make the sand dollar pattern really stand out.
Finished bust - 37 (41½, 48, 54½, 61)" - shown with 1" positive ease, but looks great with additional ease.
Yarn - Cascade Yarns Anchor Bay (50% cotton, 50% superwash merino wool; 262 yards [240 metres]/3.5 ounces [100 grams]): Colour #17 dew, 5 (6, 7, 8, 9) skeins.
Needles - Size 6 (4 mm): 16", 24", and 32" circular and set of double-pointed.
